The upcoming and final season of 'The Tudors' will premiere in April 2010 and will focus on King Henry's last two marriages - with Kitty Howard and with Katherine Parr. ;)

who's watching? I'm a huge fan   do you have fav characters? share your opinions :flower:

I love this photoshoot! :crush: beautiful Jane Seymour, gorgeous guys - Charles Brandon, Henry VIII and Cromwell :buzz: When I was watching third season, I just couldn't stop crying - firstly death of a Queen and then Cromwell's beheading :( It's too much  Can't wait for season 4, I wonder how they will show relationship between old and fat Henry and young Kitty Howard :D

I only watched the first season and LOVED IT!, too bad I never got around the rest of the seasons and episodes.. I should rent them and catch up before the final season airs.. good show, and Jonathan is just :crush: .

I love this too! Showtime is running the first 3 seasons again... two episodes be shown every Sunday starting Jan 3rd until the 4th season starts. I haven't seen them all so I plan on catching up then. Seems to me like a nice way to spend Sunday evenings during the long winter.

You said it perfectly :) I truly recommend this tv show! :flower: Actually second season is my favourite, I do love third as well. Of course, the first one is great but the whole court seems very "childish" to me  Well, I can understand them...They were very young people, only.

Tell me guys, do you have your favourite characters? I see that Dora loves Henry Cavill :p I love him too :woot: I also love Jonathan as King Henry. Damn, he's so sexy. But the way he treated/treats all women is pretty bad  Who's next...Jane Seymour  The actress who played her is so beautiful - the real queen :woot: Aww and I like Anne Boleyn character. This woman had so much energy, so much passion.

I can't watch it over here but I Youtube as much as possible.
Natalie Dormer is such an amazing actress. Especially the scene where she says that Mary is her death and hers is Mary's death, or where she watches her brother beheaded in the tower. She puts half Hollywood to shame right there.

Natalie Dormer was impressive as Anne Boleyn. She blazed across the small screen. It's hard to separate where Natalie's fierceness begins and Anne Boleyn's ends.

I read somewhere that in the 4th season there will be a dream sequence features all wives of King Henry. Sounds great. :flower: It's not confirmed, though.

Can't believe this show didn't already have a thread:shock:
Stunningly realised show with fantastic performances all round, but I do miss Maria Doyle Kennedy as Catherine of Aragon and especially Natalie Dormer who was just outstanding as Anne Boleyn and somehow managed to make an unlikebale character quite vulnerable. The star performance of the show so far.
Jonathan Rhys Meyers is superb too as Henry....playing him as a total spoilt brat, but still bringing the right amount of menace to the role.
When I heard joss Stone would be playing Anne Of Cleves I just wasn't sure what to think:unsure: but even she was OK and I forgot it was actually her and she coped with the accent fine too......although it was a bit of a stretch to believe that she was ugly and that Henry wouldn't even consummate the marriage.
Obviously the next series will be the last:(
Also the most fascinating and watchable opening credits of any show I've seen.:D

You're right. I do miss Maria Doyle Kennedy, as well. She was the real queen. Classy!

According to many historical sources, Anne of Cleves was very ugly (as you said Northern Star) but when I saw Joss on the screen, the first thing came to my mind: "wow, she looks pretty good". I felt sorry for her when the King said - 'I like her not' and that she looks like horse  poor Anne.

I love the opening credits too

Season 4 teaser trailer:

I'm watching season 3 right now on TV! (And I hate this stupid advertisement break that's on at the moment!! *grrrr*) It's the episode after the one where Queen Jane dies. Unfortunately I missed that one last week! Season 3 just started airing one or two weeks ago, and so far it's great! Very sexy, as The Tudors ought to be! :D
I watched season 1 a year and a half ago when it first aired and immediately fell in love with it. Unfortunately I missed out on season 2, I have yet to catch up on that one online. Or just get it on DVD! :D

Can't wait for season 4!

I only saw parts of Season 2 & 3 so I'm going to start at the beginning now with Season 1. I'm pleased that we have it on Showtime On Demand... so I can watch it when I want.

I read the Six Wives of Henry VIII by Alison Weir a few years ago & I really enjoyed it. Has anyone else read it?

^Never heard of that book, but it sounds interesting. I'm very interested in history, espacially Medieval England and that whole era in general, Elizabeth I, etc, so it sounds like I would like this book. I might check it out. Thanks for the hint. ;)

I didn't know season 3 was out on dvd already (we don't get showtime)...

:woot:
