Great thread! I was just thinking about this last night, in relation to the Balenciaga skirts. I feel like with dresses, it's too va-va-voom for daywear (though the Chloe dresses, since they're not cut very high, defy that), but with knee-length skirts, it's really lovely, esp. with a conservative top.

I dunno, I think if a young woman worked in a fairly fashionable environment where a jacket and trousers isn't the norm it might be interesting to see a thigh high slit skirt over some (admittedly overused at this point) footless tights. It could be an interesting way to update the legging obsession.
