This Birkin Doesnt Seem Right

I still find the shape of that one to be weird and I remember when I was looking at the pics the pics looked like they were taken at two different locations. or of two different bags.

That is exactly what I was thinking. And the bag looks a different color in the different pictures.

i think its perfectly fine. the pics can vary in colors depending on the angle.
i doubt someone would con you on a BIG deal like this.
to me, however, it looks normal

Not that I intend on buying it, but if it is a fake then maybe someone should stop the person who is about to pay $28,959 for it.

She (or he) relisted the bag, there's a link to the new auction, opening at $28,959. No bids yet, 5 days to go.

But there's something very weird about the close-up picture of the clasp, it's about the fourth picture down (fourth picture of the bag pictures, not counting all the other junk on that page) - next to the picture of Aerin Lauder . Doesn't it look like the clasp is all the way over on the left side of the metal plate? Isn't it supposed to be centered? It looks centered in all the other pictures.

Edited to add: Now that I'm nitpicking , the very last picture at the bottom also looks strange - the pieces don't seem to match up evenly along the center seam. Especially the right panel, it's askew on the bottom. "Natural variations in the leather" are normal in the kind of bags I carry, but it doesn't seem right for an almost-$30,000 handbag. Aren't these bags supposed to be all about an obssessive level of perfection in the manufacturing?

I agree with everyone who finds something very strange about this whole page layout and the pictures obviously being taken in different locations, it makes it seem as if it might not be the same bag in all the pics. For me it would raise the question if this was the actual bag I would get or if it's a stock image. Not that it would ever be relevant, but if I were actually in the market for something like this, and I'd get to this page - I'd hit the back button even before it fully loaded.

that clasp that you are talking about is the REFLECTION of the actual clasp.. therefore its more to the left of the metal plate.

Thanks Leyla, and I'm going to go to quit nitpicking before I really convince myself that this person - who has a 100% positive feedback record - is blatantly selling fakes. I guess she's (or he's) gotta be doing something right, or someone would have figured it out by now, so I'll stop picking on her and get some sleep.

I don't know, I guess it's the thought of $28,000+ on a handbag... I'm still wrapping my mind around the idea of 5 or 6 thousand, but almost 30,000... Wow.

It looks real to me. The only point where there could be any doubt would be the lining. But I've never seen the inside of a croc Birkin so I can't say.
