Tilda Swinton

^^They really are, wish more editors realized just how magnificent she is. I would love to see her on the cover of a magazine like W in one of their edgy storylines.

I agree that she would be perfect for W but they're too busy putting Brad and Angelina on every other cover.:yuk:

i don't think that will ever happen in a mainstream pub. V,black book, flaunt etc definitely but i think W is still rather too narrow-minded in it's commerical needs to feature someone as enigmatic as she on a cover. she may get a feature inside but on the cover,i doubt it. people here in the states still talk about her as if she's a creature from another planet, and they're not generally very nice about it either. even with her oscar win and appearances she still doesn't seem to garner that respect as an artist. i just don't think those suburban types who purchase and subscribe to W will ever be as receptive to her.

^^I guess thats true, i still think she would work for W, i mean its the only big US magazine that dares to do more "risky" stuff, she had an editorial last year alredy though, by Teller.

Lest anyone had the wrong idea, Tilda Swinton issued a to-the-point disclaimer before a screening of her latest flick "Julia" at the Tribeca Grand Hotel on Thursday night. "Don't expect Hannah Montana," she said.

She wasn't kidding: In the heart-wrenching drama, Swinton plays an alcoholic ne'er-do-well who kidnaps a young boy and winds up in a small seedy town in Mexico. Not surprisingly, the actress revealed the project took its toll.

"Julia is a wreck and I had to wreck myself to play her," she said before quickly adding, "but, happily, I'm over it now."

I love how white her face is! I mean her brows, eyes, lashes etc are all so blonde. She has a very unique look.

I totally adore her new haircut. She can wear it without strain!

who is she wearing, haider? she literally takes me breath away she's so stunning.

^ yeah, I was thinking haider too Scott. the cropped suede, the topstitching, the panelling...

stunning, regardless.

amazing! the things she does to his clothes leaves me breathless...

she is exactly the kind of woman i always imagined wearing his work.

have any of you all noticed how much more quiet tilda's style has been lately? apart from that abstract lacroix she wore to the cesar's this year the majority of her selections have been very subversive. she's always had that vein about her but it's not like those days when she was at cannes and wore even bolder things like that cobalt blue viktor & rolf top coat and suit. just an observation not a critique ;)

i would love to see her in boudicca...maybe something rick owens as well??

I would love that as well Rick Owens has great column like silhouettes that would mesh well with Tilda. I would love to see her in this dress I dont like the hat or the shoes but I think this dress/pant suit would suit her.
