Tom Sturridge

I am always wondering about that whether it's movie title or just different album cover / music video for Europe and US.
They probably think title "Pirate Radio" will be somehow more appealing to US watchers, but I really would like to know why.

I watched "The boat that rocked", nice movie and fantastic soundtrack but I felt like his performance/character was inconsequential. And looks wise, he looked like 12 :(

Rooney Mara & Tom Sturridge

In the next year, Rooney (younger sister of actress Kate) will star in the remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street and the comedy Youth in Revolt, but for right now, she's focused on her humanitarian efforts. After traveling to Africa with a volunteer group, Rooney established the nonprofit Faces of Kibera to benefit kids in a small village in Kenya. "We've already been able to do so much," she says. While most ingénues struggle to balance fame with a career, she seems markedly poised. "It makes you a better actor if you have real-life experiences that you can draw from."—S.J-D.

Rooney wears a Chloé by Hannah MacGibbon dress. Alternative Apparel henley, $35.

"I begged them to cast me," Tom admits, of his role in Pirate Radio, a film starring Philip Seymour Hoffman about an illegal rock 'n' roll station in the 1960s. "Being on set was idyllic; we blasted The Kinks, The Who, and The Stones...." This fall, Tom, who grew up in London with best bud and flatmate Robert Pattinson, heads to the West End as the lead in the new play Punk Rock. "I'm a bit nervous," he says. "I haven't been on stage since nursery school, when I played a donkey in the nativity." —LINDSAY TALBOT

Tom wears a Melet Mercantile shirt, $164. April77 jeans, $135. Miansai pendant necklace, $200.
