some of the reviews of tom in the play

In his stage debut, Tom Sturridge, increasingly distressed, announces himself as a major star in the making as the troubled William. I haven’t seen a more harrowing performance of anguished youth since Ben Whishaw’s sensational Hamlet. [...] The new regime at Hammersmith has got off to a tremendous start, and I’ll hazard that Tom Sturridge will be a shoo-in for the best newcomer awards.

Tom Sturridge, making his professional debut as William , intelligently uses his gangling physique to express his inner instability.

Saw Punk Rock, Tom is amazing in it. I never thought he was cute until I saw it; he's such a great actor and SOOO gorgeous in person. Super skinny and intense.

Oh thank you so much for sharing! I love seeing familiar actors on stage and he looks great. :flower:

thanks for the likn beat
gorgeous b&w pic, but I think that he's wearing his duck sweater in it:shock::lol:

A heads up for you ladies, he´s featured in the new VMan#15 Fall 2009 :)

Crazy: you can go to vman.com/vman15-fall-2009 and choose "paper view", then you can read the article.

two fans met him after the play

the story

I was shaking and crying when I met Tom, I've had a huge crush on him since 2006/7 time ever since I saw his pretty face in 'Vanity Fair' and have been following him ever since. Me and my friend met him at the Lyric Hammersmith in London after seeing him in the new play Punk Rock (which is really really good - read the reviews). We kind of sprang on him after it had finished and he was more than happy for us to take pictures.

I was suprised that me and my friend were the only 'fangirls' that approached him after the play and so the way we acted was perhaps even more embarrassing. My first impressions were that he was even more good looking in person but shorter than I thought that he would be. Overall I think he was quite overwhelmed by me and my friends reaction - my friend's declaration of how long we'd 'loved' him and my shaking when I was taking a picture of the two of them (and it was pretty darn noticable). It was lovely that he shook our hands and asked for out names before we had our picture taken and then we talked about the play and such for a few minutes (where my every other word was 'amazing') and he made a swift exit.

From what I got he seemed a lovely guy (patient I should say) and very endearing, I didn't see the arrogance that alot of interviewers state.

in my defence I was talking to him while the picture was being taken D:
