Honestly, their best collection together. Love Gigi's second look!
For what reason did they feel the need to the this overseas??
I came low expectations, but I actually really love this.
Miuccia did it better.
Take it however you want, I'm not one of those that are always complaining about these girls (Gigi, Bella, Kendull...) but I have to say that this represent the DEATH OF FASHION. I didn't watch the collection and I'm not remotely interested. I am judging this for what it is: a bunch of nothing. A collection "designed" for a woman that have been busy the whole month. As someone who (used to?) love fashion, the existence of this crap just broke my darkened heart.
The level of hypocrisy.
Plus, If I were a model, I'd never walk this show. Not even if they want me.
Child please... If I were a model I'd kill to walk a show like this, a COMMERCIAL show for that matter given the exposure and the caliber. You're acting as if Tommy Hilfiger has no credibility in the fashion world when in fact, it is one of the most recognizable brands worldwide. This is not some obscure brand who produce "avant garde" clothing in the most pretentious and elitist way. And you clearly have a problem with it being inspired by Gigi Hadid. If you don't like her that's fine but please get off your high horse and stop insulting the brand and their customers.
Sorry, but I can't take seriously to someone who still thinks that Tommy Hilfiger is something... important. Recognizable by whom?. Good luck wearing the clothes designed by Gigi!
I'd say you're in the minority here. Tommy was never an art brand and makes no pretense to be so. They do commercial clothing and held shows way before fashion has turned into what it is today - so it doesn't make them any kind of an outsider in this realm. Although I don't see why they needed to hold the show in Milan, but to discount them as something irrelevant because Gigi is involved is smacking of elitism, not true fashion criticism.
Agreed, and nicely put!
Luckily this collab is finally over now, I think, so the 'fashion elite' can clutch their pearls while heaving a breath of entitlement.
What always amazed me was that Tommy x Gigi always looked better than the actual TH label.
A friend of mine asked why they are trying to bring moto pants back, and I'm wondering the same thing. Very tacky collection, it looks like something Jeremy Scott would have designed 3-4 years ago.
Absolutely hideous. This collab is the stuff of fashion nightmares.
And i have nothing against the brand, i had a pair of boots that lasted for years and their designs usually hold up pretty well.
I'd be happier with this if this was just a diffusion line.
