My addition is Evan Rachel Wood. Shes been in an appropriet amount of movies,but I still don't understand how these other actresses,who don't have any talent,purely my opinion, keep getting bigger roles then her.

Well, for one b/c all the actresses HER AGE who do get so much attention are enormous partiers/club goers and paparazzi whores...Otherwise they wouldn't get the attention they do.

Sarah Polley definitely belongs on this list...so good in everything she does, and I admire her commitment to politics and activism, which goes well beyond the typical lip-service most stars pay to the trendy cause of the moment.

Zooey Deschanel is a great suggestion - she was spectacular in All The Real Girls, which I highly recommend to anyone who has not seen it.

I second Emily Mortimer, too - she's fantastic. Loved her in Gosford Park, which brings me to my own addition to the list:

It bugs me to see such amazing actresses not getting the recognition they should. I agree with Sarah Polley, she's amazing. I've been watching her since "Road to Avonlea"!

Also, Emilie de Ravin is amazing aswell, and I honestly think she should get more screen time in lost. One major scene with her was cut out.

I wholeheartedly agree. She's especially good in The Dead, which incidentally is also one of the finest literature-to-film adaptations I have ever seen.

I have noticed her as well! I've seen her in Ginger Snaps, Last Casino, Carrie. I think she stands out, but the movies have been pretty ordinary. i like the canadian guy seems to be in the same films as well
