Top Trends For S/S 04

I like the idea of shocking pink & dragonflies
Not much else really appeals, but I stick with my own style anyway as usual

Alot of the trends are so passe and recycled. :yuk:

What's okay for me from her list:

Looks: shorts; swimwear; layers of vest, Ts, tunics; scarf-necklines; bed-jackets, peignoir-robes; blousons; The Grand Ballgown

Details: halter necks, knotted straps, backless dresses, cut-outs;

One to watch: Martin Grant, Tim Van Steembergen

Thanks for the article, Lena. :flower:

Not braces for your teeth. "Braces" is the British way of saying suspenders. B)

Interesting list although I don't think I agree with all of them.
I
- the LWT: perfect for summer here in Australia!
- Ts: with quirky graphics.
- ballerina skirts: with a punk twist.
- iridescence: always beautiful.
- greens:  my favourite colour in fashion! forest greens, jade, khaki, emerald - a lot of influence from nature.
- rose, orchid & camellia prints: very old-world and romantic.
- pearls: as stunning as ever.
- butterfly jewellery: could be very tacky. If designed well, lovely!

I'm not so sure about some of her picks...glitter arm/leg bands? Has she been attending too many raves? :P

I don't know if its a strong trend of the season but I sure did see quite alot of variations of the trench coat. From A.F. Vandevorst's paper versions,Lutz's deconstructed wrap styled coats to Branquinho's plastic raincoats.

Colors: I'm in agreement on the colors of nature. But also deep hues of blue(from Ackermann) and sexy boudoir reds. Khaki seemed very strong this season as well.

Details: I like the knotty details[she mentioned]but I prefer the kind Ann-Sofie Back did. But that was London,so I suppose that doesn't count

*knots were very 'there' for next season , not sure if i'd wear them myself

*blue is king it's been all over the place, everyone did it in paris (lanvin, LV, Celine, Dries, etc etc)

Is there some new brands that U think will be hot, hot, hot........ for spring??? Here in Scandinavia everybody is talking about Nudie, it has been hot some seasons but still people are thinking this is it.... Von Dutch is coming here for Spring and I`m scared it will be one of the coming brands, OH NOW!!!! :yuk:

Da nang has been popular here in hawaii for awhile now. eveyrone has their cargo skirts

am not a Da Nang fan. Hmmm it's hard to say what the trendy brand will be.

Da Nang is alright...of a sort.

If only my collection was out PrinceOfCatsCouture would obviously be the hottest thing this side of Death Valley...

However, as it isn't...I'm going with Klaus Samsoe.

Da Nag is nothing new, but they are getting mroe and more popualr, I think they are pretty ugly honestly

Von Dutch, already popular with celebrities i think it will become hot on the streets
