    Bags

    Patchwork

This spring designers play with different textures,
    colors,prints and materials for bags.
The result is one unique bag. ;)

    shine is huge for ss04

haven't seen any cool bags though :(
    maybe something from H.Lang

i'd like a statement summer bag with the effect
of those brilliand red shoes at Viktor&Rolf.
    oh and  i liked valentino's buterfly-less
simple '80s clutches. weird ...

to be honest......there were about 2 major trends.......but the rest is just coinsidence

you could count a whole bunch of things as trends that have cropped up here and there

main trends remain as print+multi colour

No coincidence at all, trust me on this acid & trean.

There are many more than just two new trends for next summer
(currently working on this for my clients)
and they were there even before
those collections were made or presented.
It all starts with the fabrics, at P.V. every six months, simple as that
and basic trend themes are there in the open for everyone
-designer or mass manufacturer- to choose from and apply.
It's called 'the direction of the collection' but it's based on what
is already there, as first material or general mood (s).

Trend like, the interesting thing about the shows, is how many
designers adapted each major 'theme' and their creative take,
their 'interpretation' on their chosen 'theme'.

'fun' part of the chasing-the-trends game ?
picking up the 'rising' trends for seasons to come,
usually evident in 'new designer's' and less 'popular'
    seemingly non-important collections.
    :flower:

btw, acid, you are on spot, prints are a definite mega trend for ss 04
still i really dont get what you mean by 'muti color'
    an example could help

Influencial U.K. fashion journalist Hilary Alexander of The Telegraph is revisiting Paris fashion Week, editing a rather ... erhh  hit and miss take on the 'hot' looks for next season.
    *what do you think?
    *what would you wear?

my choices from the above: tunics, backless dresses, silver, beige, flesh, taupe, all the greens from eau de Nil to ivy; orchid prints, glitter arm/leg-bands, cuffed sandals, crystals, tulle, metallics, voile.

 I don't agree with any of her picks, at all.

    My picks

Looks: Wispy pale dresses in shades of mint and gray (Calvin); abstract shapes of black and white (Zero, Junya, CdG, and Yohji); play of masculine and feminine styling (Yohji); sculptured, futuristic/militaristic silhouettes (Balenciaga)

Colors: Black, white, beige, various shades of green, red, and gray.

Accessories: Yohji sandals; suspenders; anything from Margiela

    Fabrics: Satin; featherweight cashmere

I'll think of more later.

I  Hilary Alexander however I must say I also do not terribly agree with the picks. I liked a lot of stuff for spring and the stuff she suggested was so... I do prefer Astrid's choices. I can't think of other things now but I might...
