I have no idea if this info is helpful, but I have noticed that they tend to update their collection somewhere around 4-6 am (I work from home and have developed ludicrous sleeping habits). Whenever the items first appear, the message beside them always announces that the items are sold out. This hardly seems possible at 4 am (although stranger things happen), so I presume the message remains the same until they are finished updating the site - so that all of the items appear at the same time, and in stock.
This process is the same across all of the Arcadia group stores. They tend to update around the same time of night, with the same 'out of stock' message for the first few hours.
I used to think it was a clever business ploy until I noticed this pattern.
Still, best thing to hope for regarding the new coats is that they come back into stock. I recently purchased a faux fur which was a little too large (I found the car coat to be cut a little larger than usual) and could not send it back because there were no more in stock all of that week. I eventually returned it to a local store, only for it to come back into stock later, with all sizes available....and it is still there....
