too expensive and the sales are rubbish

Well I love Topshop and can't wait to wear my new outfit below this winter:

A printed puff-sleeve p*ssy bow blouse and a grey pencil skirt...I will accessorise my outfit to make it 'my own' - but I love the blouse and skirt and don't care if other girls are wearing them as you can't escape people wearing the same clothes these days...there is not really a 'unique style' per se which is what the Frankfrut school argues. Capitalism controls what you wear and you can not really escape it.

I like some of the brands they have in the Oxford St store, like Motel and Paul's Boutique, but the rest is pretty much...rubbish.

i'll admit I found a couple of good pieces in the sales recently (an absolutely divine Preen for Topshop deconstructed layered skirt and a beautiful double breasted waistcoat) but I still have been less than impressed this past year/so.

The sales were awful! I bought 1 dress that was reduced from £38 to £15 [got an extra 10% aswell ] but that was just about the only thing that caught me eye.

I love topshop's clothes but I just cant afford to buy there very often. Im just a student and dont have very much disposable income -surey students are the target consumers? or at least they were.

Anyway, I sent topshop an email saying how disappointed I was that the prices keep going up and up. they email back with this:

I like topshops jeans there my favourites...maybe that's just because they do a brilliant petite range. I don't like much else from these days =[. I don't know i just think it's gone down hill.

^^ The quality is okay. Bear in mind it's a high street shop so the quality isn't that impressive

^ You'll probably be a size 6. Thats the smallest they do I think. It might be an 8 though

I don't think you're going to find jeans that will fit you in there. I'm 5ft 2ish with a 27 waist..i have to get the 28 (they don't do between sizes, they go up in 2s!) and they're way too big for me at the waist. The smallest they go down to is a 26, I'm afraid. Leg sizes have always been good though.

they do do a 25", i'm sure. try a few pairs, the sizing can be a bit up and down at times. you'll definitely find a pair that fits you in the leg.

i've never seen a 25 in my local topshop maybe that's something rare, i don't know...but every girl ive asked about baxters said they only go down to a 26.
