Tory Burch F/W 2023.24 New York

The perfect wardrobe for the New Yorker art gallerists. From day to night, from museum to museum Tory Burch got you covered.

Lina's look is perfect tho.

I'm surprisingly shocked... I didn't expect a collection at this level, AMAZING!

Easily the best in NY Fashion this week, great American sportswear pieces, comfortable but luxurious, this will resonate with A LOT of women. It is like an American version of Chloe and actually far better than the garbage being produced there currently by Hearst.

It's very commercial, but it's commercial done impeccably well. Beautiful, desirable clothes.

i like the velvet and satin looks, tricky fabrics but they look desirable. but is she in the middle of an aesthetic change? this and last seasons look completely different from what is merchandised in-store and what she's known for

I thought she was Loewe by JW Anderson part 2…
Im confused…What’s going on?

idk what's been in the water there but watching this rather "for basic preppies who wear tacky logos" brand shrug that image off to reinvent itself and dark-horse all the more 'fashion' 'edgy' brands to put out the most interesting but wearable collections on the NYFW calendar, has been beautiful and legitimately gives me joy. Good going, Tory! and I so appreciate that both this and S/S 2023 didn't look like she was desperately chasing y2k trends to appeal to the youth, or trying to knock off Phoebe Philo.

Clean and beautiful the kind of New York sophistication that we like to see. The two satin dresses seem tricky though especially the green.

^yeah, satin in bright colours does have a tendency to look bad, and if the collection has a weak point, the green satin is it. But overall it's wearability done really well, the kind of thing NYFW used to excel at back in the day, and I love her use of colour these last few collections - the red coat on Jill here is gorgeous.

It’s nice but there is nothing that special about it.

She switched Benjamin Bruno for Brian Molloy (The Row). This is what's going on. -_-

Besides that, there are poor choices made. The satin is really bad, the green is burning my eyes and the proportion of few looks is off. It is safe, at least wearable and has an audience so good for her.

Something about this makes me think of a Victoria Beckham and Stella McCartney amalgamation, especially considering the confusing state those brands are in at the moment. Has a better focus though, despite me feeling confused with how she actually got here aesthetically.

It's good clothes - there's no denying it - but they're kinda "faceless" in a way that Proenza is. It's all just nice as it is, nothing less and nothing more. Don't really hate it but it is kind of there.
