Is there a good way to treat and prevent the dye in denim from getting on your shoes? I just noticed it was rubbing off on mine yesterday and it sucks.
1.) Wash your jeans in a washing machine (which is REALLY NOT a good idea because it will take the ink out of the denim.
2.) (this will not work on skinny jeans)
Put a rubber band around your ankles of the jeans and cuff the jeans over the rubber band, so it does not show. This way the jeans do not come in direct contact with your shoes.
There was some streetwear company that produced a pair of raw denim with a small band of dark blue cotton on the inside hem of their jeans specifically to prevent this. Probably the most brilliant idea ever, too bad the jeans were ugly.
I have no suggestions. All my light trainers have stains on them from dark/black jeans.
