Trends We Love...

At the moment, I'm loving

I like that over the knee boots have another go this year. I like dresses with lots of sequins and sleek twenties maxi dresses.

Eternity scarves
Dropped waisted dresses
Big cocktail rings
Cloche hats
Cowboy boots

Swing coats and shift dresses.
oversized tshirts and cozy jumpers.
Satchels.
Nude, neutrals, camel.
Roll on autumn!

low back (or sheer back) tops
burnt pink
lace tops
sequin skirts
opaque tights with dresses for fall
stacked bangles
sheer silk dresses, shorts, tops for spring
furry vests
messy up-dos

I just love those classy, timeless essentials - the camel coat, high-rise razor sharp wide-leg trousers, silky nude blouses, simple grey sweatshirts, lady-like purses etc.

Right now I’m feeling excited for:

-over the knee socks
-jersey pieces with slouchy fit
-interesting rings
-extreme hem length (either super short or super long)
-faded shades

Nudes
Oversized shirts
Harem pants (too bad I can't wear those, because they make me look even shorter than I am)
High-wasted skirts
Drapey stuff

Fitted dresses with huge belt around the waist
Ripped jeans
over-sized off the shoulder shirts and or sweaters
booties
Rompers and dressy jumpsuits

Velvet. If you hate on it, it's just because you don't know how to wear it. Silk velvet I pretty much love more than life itself, and I have some amazing late 19th c/first half of the 20th c velvet pieces that I love to break out come fall and winter. I'm delighted that there's so much new velvet stuff to choose from this season.

parkas
trench coats
classic pumps
high waisted skirts
oversized jumpers and t-shirts
(well, jsut kill me for that) leggings
leather jackets
chain purses
berets

I really love bralets!
And the whole slam/clog/fat-heel thing going (like the miu-miu's swallow maryjanes) but don't get me wrong I still don't see the beauty of clogs =)

I just love matching knitwear (e.g. heavy sweaters) with delicate fabrics like tulle, mousseline, etc.

Let me comment quickly before getting to the main point of this post... that whole outfit in Post #87 is spectacular. Love everything about that look.

I guess I'm nowadays drawn to sandal boots (which I've discussed in my blog before. Especially in the case of thong booties, they are more like the anti flip-flop, offering more of a shoe-like touch. I'm okay with sandal boots nowadays. They are more like wanting to wear sandals while also enjoying shoes. Most sandal boots aren't all that bad to me.

I just love that minimalism is the trend now. So thank you Phoebe Philo for your great contribution.
