What's so great about that plastic clogs? I've seen too many of them here

skinny jeans
UGGS + stretchy pants with matching hoodie
deep blue coloured dress/blouse with white stars pattern

Girls wearing Skinny jeans that are 2 sizes too small for them! Ugh, and do not get me started with girls who wear leggings as pants:sick:

ombre :ninja:

i know it's "huge" right now...but it just reeks of tacky prom dress to me:

I'm not at all against peep-toes except for flat and low-heel peep-toe shoes. I've accepted peep-toes for the most part. I even like cute high-heel wedge pumps with the peep-toe design and maybe a slingback at the heel. But when you have something like high-heel oxfords with the peep-toe design, then I start disliking the look. Otherwise, feel free to give others a view of your cute toes.

One little girl at a Wal-Mart had on a denim-style skirt while wearing a pair of denim jeans. Layering denim can be pretty tacky. A better alternative would be having some jeans that have a detachable skirt. Either that, or go with a skirt with a lighter fabric. Or of course... avoid wearing a skirt over jeans (even skinny jeans).

Crocs:judge:

but perfectly fine for children...under five:lol:

If anyone here watches iron chef on food network, mario batali wear them every episode (for those not firmilar he is one of america's best and most famous chefs). I love you mario batali but please take off those crocs! I want to cry everytime I see them.

I hate crocs but I believe Mario Batali wears them through necessity because of the nature of his workplace; he doesn't go out wearing crocs as some sort of fashion statement. If wearing crocs prevents him from falling in front of the camera because the floor is too slippery and provides a safer workplace, I say, why not? I think that's perfectly acceptable. On the same token, I hate UGGs too, esp worn over jogging pants, but I do not hate them if they are worn for the right practical reason, e.g. going out casually on a very cold day in Canada, say, to walk your dog. I only hate them when they are treated as some "trend" that seems to work with anything in your wardrobe.

I totally agree with you. The peep-toe design on wrong kinds of shoes is such an eyesore, honestly.

Sorry that this might be a bit off-topic since the thing I'm going to say is not really a trend. Seeing there are so many people who hate crocs or/and UGGs on this thread, I'd just like to share with you guys a horrid discovery about a certain type of shoes: the love child of UGG and crocs is created!

They're officially called SnUggs and come in various colors.
They're scarily bad. Very very scary.
Let's hope it won't become fashionable.

desert scarves!
enough already!

oh my word. those snuggs..
was somebody actually proud of themselves for combining the two most irritating type of footwear?

eeesh.

To start off, I love the jeans tucked in boots trend...as long as the jeans go well with the boots and there is no extra fabric that makes it look sloppy. It has to look put together.

As for trends I'm absolutely sick of....
I can't believe that college girls still consider Uggs stylish. It sickens me when I see a pretty girl wearing supershort shorts and a pair of Uggs walking around like she owns the place.

I'm also really sick of the wannabe indie, mary kate olsen-like, big sunglasses and huge scarf trend.

I know I'm going to sound terribly self-righteous, but this thread is starting to scare me. Now people are posting things that aren't really trends, just stylistic preferences.

For example, jeans with running shoes are like the bread and butter of casual wear. Many people who dress like goths are part of a subculture that's been around for about thirty years. And Topshop is an affordable, stylish option for students/young people - not everyone enjoys shopping at thrift stores.

THANK YOU. :ninja:

Rarely do Crocs (as in the familiar clogs) are seen as stylish. In fact, they never are. I've seen gauchos combined at times with jeans and jersey knit gaucho pants. It's not like Crocs are paired with dress pants or anything.

I'm mostly pointing out some annoyances in fashion. For those who say this thread has been about certain annoyances in fashion rather than actual trends that aren't liked, does it seem like our fault we can't note actual trends? Like back in 1998 here in Houston, I've seen the combination of a dressy shirt paired with a vest that was quite popular among ladies. That was a trend I've seen ranging from my former high school to even a guest on MTV's Total Request Live (TRL). Some people don't like gaucho pants as a trend, yet some still wear gauchos. Is it still a trend because a few girls still wears these, or is just an annoyance because some girls still wear them? Ballet flats aren't received too well by some people though worn by a lot of femmes, but I think they look comfortable and cute.

So are you saying that there are some of us that are unable to tell trends from simple fashion no-no's?

I've never seen anybody wearing one of those headbands either but that doesn't surprise me because most people would never ever wear something like that where I live.
I think I've seen more guys than girls rock them. :woot:
