I truly hate it and since it getting big I can't look at certain designers the same way, same for many magazines (especially i-D). It's especially the worst if it's archive zoomers, they truly have not much of own taste and they really use it as form of a cultural capital; many try to obscure out others to get more clout (even if what they find "obscure" is known for long time fashion enthusiasts lol).
It created such insane price bubble on some things to be honest. Certain designers but also books and magazines skyrocketed price wise, prices doubles or even quardupled since I got into these back in 2018-2019. I remember i-D issues from that most desired period, so late 90s, going for 5gbp per one. Good times.
Although partially I'm happy about it, as I have guaranteed return of my costs on certain magazines.
