Looks like the offspring of Junya and Viv. Not a fan of this side of the CdG universe. This is another diffusion line of sorts?

A few nice elements, but I think Kurihara's aesthetic in this collection is overwhelmed by a faithfulness to her superiors (Watanabe and Kawakubo) and the Comme des Garcons label. I prefer last season.

I really miss Tao on the runway. That was the work of a real visionary.

yeah tricot is the line that tao kurihara has designed since 2002. it's more knitwear based--hence the name--although it's expanded a bit more in recent years to include other elements. it's definitely the more feminine side to CdG's world. phuel,you should have a look at the previous collections,it's actually been much stronger than this particular collection.

having said that,i do enjoy the olives and the trenches and some of the more signature aspects but it's definitely subpar for tao.

it's funny and good to see only you gentlemen posting in this thread for the girly prankster line of the CdG universe.
maybe this line's creativity largely depends on or synchronizes with japanese economic state and people's feeling about it.
tricot has to sell, which is its top priority and mission.

while i cannot speak for women everywhere...
there's a lot here that i personally would wear...


though i'd like to see this entire thing with a shoe that is more realistic and see if it still works...

tao always shows shoes on the runway which i think are nearly impossible to wear in a real life situation...
and the shoes change the entire silhouette, so that always makes me wonder...

i still like to see the 'show' and the presentation there...
but i often wonder about alternative shoe options...


so- in that way, it is almost not commercial enough for me...
i guess i'll just imagine everything with a motorcycle boot...

yeah the shoes look especially bad this time.

otherwise i really like this though!
it's punkier less girly/sweet than tricot usually is...
and there are just enought signature Tao details (like those big knots)
to make it stand out from comme comme.

but the new ones you posted are definitely more practical...

as i said- i still like that white sole very much...
i guess i would happily wear that whole thing as you posted it...
any of the socks or shoes with the whole outfit and bag...
