i agree softie,i'm not a denim person either but i like the way it's used here. almost like the more classic dungaree style, which is a little more refreshing.
yes funny name. I guess every style comes in blue this time but they had to after all decide to place reds etc as suteishi somewhere in the constellation on the runway (even though it's a runway on their office floor).
or if it was titled almost blue, it would sound to some (like costello fans) a bit melancholic, which does not represent the season's overall feel.
yes the styling is commercial and the show as a whole is basic, maybe too basic for coverage is one of why usually they didn't open trioct shows to the press. the shows have been practical showroom service to their customers. but hope we get to see the whole collection on the day it is presented next time too. because its true contents should generally be very nice.
The scrunched patchwork checks remind me of a top TTH wore (see link) but I really like the way they've styled them in the show - i.e., over T-shirts. It looks awesome!
runner- nice to know what your faves are here...
both are really great...
i especially like the way the apron/jumper dress has mixed fabrics that give it some really nice movement...
i'm sure that piece is great to wear...
i confess- i LOVE the scarf tied round the head as well... ......
perhaps this is unwittingly where my craving for giant jeans started...
both of these styles are still in my mind's eye...
