    from the daily:

Just In Time For Summer (Again): The Tunic Top
It's back and it's not just Juicy

    Monday, May 10, 2004
When Sarah Jessica Parker and Beyoncé Knowles were photographed in Juicy Couture’s terrycloth baby doll tunics last summer, you could practically hear New York women dropping their sari tops and speed-dialing Saks. Fortunately the fashion world was listening—this season everyone from Ella Moss to Intermix is offering a version of the tunic in a variety of fabrics and colors. “The strapless tunic is the perfect summer item because it’s so easy pull on, you can wear it with anything and they’re really comfortable,” Lucky fashion director Hope Greenberg told The Daily. “But is it a look for everyone? No way. If you got the body for it, then it’s a great summer piece.” Plus, a tunic won’t leave behind any unwanted tan lines. (Not that you’re tanning naturally anymore.)

the juicy terry cloth dress is not what i think of when i think tunic...i rememebr a few years ago when there was a legitimate tunic trend going around in high fashion...does anyone remember that?

sure-i remember...i've got a few...both long and short...the margiela top i just got in london is a short version of a tunic....but he also does a long one...

    but i agree with mike-that juicy thing is not a tunic...more like a towel after a shower...it's cute enough...but i wouldn't call it a tunic...

    i love tunics...wear them a lot...

lena...can't wait for the new stuff... :flower:

im in one of those hilarious moods again... had a laughter fest at my friends' house n it hasnt faded...
im so but i found wat u said sooo funny....

if they make ur but look big in regular tunics... why not try lenas idea... n wear indian kurtis? they finish before ur but.. or some half way down ur butt.. so they may not make it look big anymore... :flower:

 the idea u have to wear them...
my mum went to a cowboys n indians bbq the other day ( some stupid indian anamika society thing, with a tacky president this year) wearing a yellowish khaki kurti which had some sequin design (she got it from a store called british india they have in malaysia, never seen it in england), denim flared out skirt n my denim stetson( from my madonna obsession era), with some brown leather espadrille-esque shoes .... i guess u can mix n match these kurtis or tunics to whatever look u want... mum didnt really look like a cowgirl...but she had the flavours kind of...

hmm i like how u worded the bit abt he pictures... so obviously u wont b takin any pics anytime soon wen ur wearing ur kurtis... camerashy hellenic godess.... :ninja:

:innocent: october is noted down in my diary now :flower:
