I didn't find any previous thread on this, and I've only just noticed the trend myself.

These aren't classic pinstripes, they're thick, graphic and definitely not for the faint of style. Luckily it stays out of Hot Topic/H&M hoodie territory.

 good spotting, spike!. Ann D and Rick Owens did it best in my opinion, I'm particularly taken by the elbow details and the long sleeve in the beetlejuice jacket by Demeulemeester, it just makes the jacket extra interesting and less trend-oriented for me.
I also liked the way Marc Jacobs paired them with transparency, I have similar stripes in a black dress of mine, they work wonderful with different layers as the whole thing changes completely and you can play with colours and even prints.

..Gaultier and Chanel are probably the worst, if not most predictable interpretation out of the bunch.

^ There's a certain softness to them there, I'm not sure if it's the colors or the more narrow stripe, but it looks like it'd be less intimidating to wear.

I was trying to think of what the Ann D black and white reminded me of.....and you nailed it Mullet. :p

Alberta F for Philosophy line did it well but the rest is just , i am quite tired of stripes in general, but the color variations of the Miu Miu dresses are by far the most interesting twist of trend since you don't usually see that on fabrics such as nylon.
