well sorry if I wanna have fun watching the game. if only the results count then i don't have to watch it and look up the results the next day. and it's only my opinion, i'm sure others find their games interesting, obviously they're a good team

I see your point :flower:

I was kinda pissed when the spaniards keep passing the ball to each other. But besides that, I also find their games exciting, I always have mini heart-attacks when watching a game involves Spain  wonder why

^i completely understand that, if i were rooting for Spain i would probably be of a different opinion as well. i just think for someone who's not emotionally involved, their games during this euro were rather subpar, they got the result they wanted, but other than than they were lacking

Well I understand your view:)
Tbh, I wish Spain could be more "interesting" too but if that's not what they want, then its fine. I think they might need to add more than just "Tiki taca" when facing Italy....

^or just not be as stupid as Germany:lol:

i really don't know who's gonna win it this year, both teams are really strong, or at least can be very strong when they need to be

Germans? Stupid? Why do u think so? :) I think their biggest mistake was their weak defense.

I personally think Italy has a better chance to win even though I'm a fan of Spain. U are right on "both teams can be very strong when they need or WANT to be".... it's all down to their "mood" on the big day..... Like Germany, they obviously werent in their "mood" when against Italy and thus couldn't bring their best out

You have 10 minutes to edit your posts, only :flower:

Thank you for all the links, but unfortunately they don't suffice as sources...Because all I get is a page with all posts Balotelli's name was tagged in. It's like crediting google. Would you mind looking for the name of the tumblr accounts? That way I can edit your posts & don't bother you and this thread anymore.

I think and HOPE Italy wins Sunday! They deserve it! They attack well, defend well. Their midfield and goalkeeper are PURE CLASS. Serious props to underrated De Rossi, Marchisio, Chiellini, Motta and Balzaretti. They seem to pass WAY under the radar.

And this article pretty much sums up how I felt in the last 10 minutes of the game. I hope they learn their lesson and keep their composure for the final! And as a final note, how unfair is it that Italy ONLY has 2 days to prepare!!!! Raaaaawwwwr.

^_^

Angry Gigi Buffon feared Germany would come back and beat Italy 9-2

By Brooks Peck | Dirty Tackle

Two first-half goals from Mario Balotelli proved to be enough to give Italy a 2-1 win over Germany and put them in the final against Spain, but goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon didn't enjoy the final moments of the match at all. Two minutes into added time, Mesut Ozil scored for Germany to make things a little tense in the final moments, causing Buffon to blow a gasket.
After the final whistle, he explained his fury (via Football Italia):
"We are playing for something unique and totally prestigious, so it's not right with the performance we put in to risk it in the last five minutes and play with fire.

"If they had scored with a lucky ricochet for 2-2, we'd end up losing in extra time 9-2. We are playing in the Euros here and cannot take it lightly.

"I always evaluate performances and attitudes rather than strictly wins or losses. We are still young, apart from a few old men in the squad, and need to learn. It's only right for the old men to tell them off and stir up trouble.
Well, 9-2 might be a bit of an overstatement, but you can't underestimate the importance of keeping focus until the final whistle blows. And to clarifying his statements, we have pictures of Buffon standing.

Pictures, of Gigi Buffon, how close were you to actually losing 9-2 in extra time?

"This close!" (Getty)

OK. Do you think your assessment is at all influenced by the tightness of your hair clips?

"What did you say about my hair clips?!" (Getty)

Nevermind.

Who will win tomorrow? Italy or Spain? I think Spain will win - like some say: the tiki-taka dwarfs will tire the Italians out of their breath and then score 1 goal! Plus: San Iker is even slightly better than Buffon ;)

^It would be quite unpatriotic for you if you said the italians were gonna win...

Italy all the way!

I have been living in Spain for a few years but I am not Spanish - but I agree: I will support Spain though their style is bothering me ultimately - I wish they were more fond of attacking and not trying to play what seems "chess at highest level" for 60 minutes and botteling it up because if we are honest their type of play is very defensive - if you keep the ball you don't let the other team play - it's the reverse tecnique to catenaccio but eventually it has the same effect on the whole of the game - only one team really playing and therefor might lead to a partly boring game! I do understand that it's about winning titles but then I just love to see exciting matches - I had the same problem with Barcelona this year - they seemed to have lost their flow and many times Madrid seemed to be way more entertaining with their counter-attacks

I would love Balotelli to score again and Iniesta as well - and to top it another Spanish stricker - let's say Llorente - I would love him to see playing in that tournament at least once ;)

Exactly my thought :flower:

I really hope that Spain can win, though it seems that Italy is pretty threateningly dangerous at the moment and therefore, the Italians have a higher chance to win :( If Spain isn't winning, I hope they at least give us an exciting match.

And I AM GETTING IMPATIENT HERE! July 1 please come soon!!!

Sorry girl but Italy is gonna win! Lol! When they played against Portugal, they dominated the game but not even by a high margin. I am sure the same will happen against Italy. While they're laying out their chess game to find a strategy to make 1 goal in 60 minutes (not even an exageration!), Italy will have made 2 goals! Ciao Spain!

Spain will win, they really have the best team in the world, they play together so well it's unbelievable. Balotelli is dangerous but he is either really great or then completely out of it, and now with lots of pressure I have a feeling he won't perform as expected. The Italian team itself is not quite as strong, even though Pirlo alone is pretty much the best player in that spot. I can't wait for tomorrow but I'd be surprised if the game ended in higher score than 1-0. Rooting for Spain but I have always had such a soft spot for Italy so either way, the result's gonna be fine :D

Spain is my second choice had Italy been eliminated. But I loved Italy since I was a little girl! And I think that the more pressure there is, the more Balotelli performs. Which is usually what happens with spoiled kids LOL! Just kidding! Hope he's kept his fine form since Thursday's fabulous game!

Is it just me or does the Italy NT boast some incredibly model-esque players? :crush:

Chiseled cheekbones, dreamy eyes. :innocent:

Some pictures of the squad preparing for tomorrow for everyone's viewing!

I must admit the Italy NT was what got me into watching football when I was young. Back in the days, there was Del Piero, Totti, Nesta, Zambrotta, Cannavaro......... :brows:

Now that I am older, I appreciate the game a lot much more... ...and the hot players equally.
