I can't stand Ronaldo and his ego. Waiting to score the fifth penalty just to be "king" (thank god it backfired).. making every free kick into a freaking melodrama.. and ofcourse his usual crybaby, spoiled attitude.

His tears are my joy to be fair

i agree with you!!!

I don't get it either. I know some people don't want them to win because they've been the champions for the past 4 years already, but if they win again it's because they work hard and deserve it. You don't get to be the reigning champions of two major tournaments by luck. You get it by being the best team in the world and so far they're the ones to beat.

Fair point well made :)

Hmmm perhaps but other ppl told me that the reason of why Ronaldo saved the fifth penalty is because he's too afraid to do that. He's afraid.

A few pics (some funny, some not) before I am off to bed dreaming of an Italy victory! Please don't take it all seriously, it's just for a good laugh!

Um, no. But I suspect that's because the Postman doesn't have to force his way through eleven men whose sole purpose is to make sure he doesn't deliver the letter.

kimhkuu, these pics are funny  thanks

poor ronaldo :)

ugh what's wrong with the finalist of last wc?
the neths pointless home (coach just quitted yay!) and spain plays really boring with no fire. Yesterday was again boring, only the penalty's were great.

i've seen only two games or something that were nice, maybe for a neutral watcher neths portugal was also nice but i hated it ofcourse.

good luck to germany and italy tonight!

one of my favs

"Dios me ha enviado a la Tierra para enseñar a la gente a jugar a fútbol", dice Cristiano Ronaldo. Y Messi, sorprendido, le suelta: "Mentira, pelotudo, yo no envié a nadie".

translation for our non spanish speaking friends

Ronaldo: God has send me to the Earth to teach people to play futbol.

Messi: Liar! I didn't send anyone!

These things are possibly the most hilarious tthings I've even seen.

Just because someone has a different taste and happens to dislike Spanish team does not mean they hate it just so :innocent:

I don't like the way they play and I just do not like Spanish team, that's all. Nothing less, nothing more.

And yes. In addition yes, 4 years is enough, I want someone new to take the title. :innocent: Nothing hateful or wrong with that.

Oh and it's not just hard work all the time, luck plays a big role too. Even 4 times in a row.

No worries, either Germany or Italy will win the final...

^Filipe you wish! Italy will not win against Germany and Germany won't win against Spain!

as to the penalty decision to have Ronaldo take the last free kick and Cesc asking to take the last one....:

guardian.co.uk

Ronaldo later confirmed to the Portuguese TV network SIC: "I was going to take the next [penalty], but we missed two.

"It was just a question of me speaking with the coach. He said to me, 'Do you want to take the fifth one?' and I said 'yes'. Sometimes I take the first, the second or the third. I agreed to take the fifth.

"I hope Spain win the tournament now because I have a lot of friends there and I play there and it will be a tough final for them. It felt very normal playing against Real Madrid players. On the pitch we are not friends, but outside we are."

Asked why Ronaldo, the world's most expensive player, did not step up to take a penalty, the Portugal coach Paulo Bento said: "We had this plan and if it had been 4-4 and he would taken the last penalty we would be talking in a different way.

"Being in another final is a miracle, it's very emotional," said Fábregas. "I had a funny feeling about the penalties and I was thinking about them this afternoon. That life has given me another chance like this is really incredible.

"When I stepped up to take the penalty I said to the ball that we had to make history and it shouldn't let me down. They told me initially to take the second one but I said no give me the fifth as I had this premonition."

The match was very uniform but the reality is, like it or not: that Spain was much higher in the extended part. Possession of the ball was over and the referee ignored many portuguese faults. We deserved to win, and finally happened.

To all the spanish haters only remind you that we are world champions and for the time begin in Europe too. I know it can be annoying but, it is no coincidence! It is a great team. And I'm the first to recognize the quality of the rivals, however there are a lot of criticism around here with absurd bases.

Bookmark finally to all the people who say, 'Don't worry, Germany or Italy will crush Spain' Italy - Spain ended in a dead heat, not with a Italian victory.

With this crisis, spanish people are very pleased by the sport, which brings us at least these happiness! We don't believe in our politicians but much in the quality of our athletes. Next Sunday we can become the first team in history to win two consecutive European Championships and a World Cup. VAMOS ESPAÑA !!!!!!

I can't be more agree with you, thanks Zhanna for your words
