Anyone planning to follow the European Cup this year?
I was afraid creating a thread dedicated to this competition wouldn't draw many people in.

GROUP A
France
Albania
Switzerland
Romania

GROUP B
England
Russia
Wales
Slovakia

GROUP C
Germany
Ukraine
Poland
Northern Ireland

GROUP D
Spain
Czech Republic
Turkey
Croatia

So far, France-Romania: 2-1

I am watching! The France-Romania game was more exciting than I'd anticipated. Payet's winner was mind-blowing!

I think it's worth having its own thread, thanks for starting it!

YES, definitely watching!
France was more vulnerable than I thought, excited to see how the rest of the group games go for them. They are among my favs this year, together with Germany and Croatia as potential 'underdog' surprise. :)

YAY I watched all the games so far because it's the weekend, not gonna happen during the week, but at least the biggest games or at 9pm

So happy for my French team! I'm curious to see how far they will go this team.

I'm also curious to see how Germany is gonna play since they won the world cup.

Wow, England snatches a draw from the jaws of victory! What a collapse. The Welsh must be licking their chops.

As much as I would love to watch these matches; where I'm at, it starts way too late for me (for example: the ALB - SUI game was at 11pm).:(

Nice hold up, Russia!
The attacks in Marseille today are shameful...

Edit: In which country are you BaBorrow ?

Absolutely stunning performance by the Azzuri. Gigi Buffon's smile can light up a city!

Damn, Portugal played only one game and Cristiano is already bitter.
It's disappointing the UEFA didn't organize a minute of silence in honor of the Orlando victims.

^I live in Guam.^_^
I like a late night game but there's no way I would wake up at 5 in the morning to watch sports.
Your reply made me google football in Guam and I came across a long interview of Gary White (it's in french so I won't post). He talked about his journey with the national team, you guys had some massive achievements in the past years!

Sometimes Germany looks like they think all they have to do is show up and trot around for 90 minutes and they will automatically win. That seemed to be the case today. Didn't work. Partly because Poland defended well, but partly because Germany looked like they couldn't be arsed. I wonder if they will find a higher gear. I can think of a few teams that would be happy to face the German team that showed up today and I wouldn't bet against some of them.

Poland should have won, really, only "Swing and a Miss" Milik had a bad day at the office.

I'm so glad we didn't lose. LEt's not forget that Germany won world cup just two years ago.
Milik missed a really great chance yesterday... :/ But a tie is good. Finally we have a team that we can be proud of!

Croatia-Portugal was... ugly.
I'm excited for France-Ireland (I'm from the celtic part of France and have a soft spot for all the Celtic nations). After the 2009 mess where we cheated our way to the World Cup, no doubt Ireland would be thrilled to kick our ***es.

I was so looking forward to the Croatia v Portugal game, and it was such a disappointing, thuggish and generally dull affair.

Spain v Italy was an exciting match, though! Not without its ugly moments and odd officiating decisions, but ultimately a great contest with some superb performances. I'm looking forward to Italy v Germany, that could be a great match, too.

But first, England v Iceland!

Matches these past few days were finally much more interesting to watch. I never watch football usually but Euro Cup is a special event.
Yesterday were all good matches, with France-Ireland, Germany-Slovakia and then Belgium-Hungary (4-0!!). Nice to see Poland going to the quarters. Bye England for the second time in less than a week...and I'm obviously rooting for France! Way to go!

Just found my DFB tee, go Germany! go Müller!  :stuart:.. they've made a fool out of everyone, might as well take this other cup too.

(does Löw get to touch the cup? ew ew ew... )

Germany is the team I love to hate so Go France!
though I have no doubts that Germany will win the cup :(

Wow! I thought that Germany was unbeatable... allez les bleus!
Now I´m rooting for Portugal, cause they´re the underdogs and Ronaldo & Pepe play for my team, Real Madrid :)

*putsonnasaltone* allez les blues.. :meow:

not over till it's over though..

Yaaayyyy I'm so happy!!!
That was a tough match, Germany missed a lot of goals.
Merci les Bleus!
