I love the setting and burst of yellow because it's all about an exotic summer that not many of us will have. We do want some escapism, at least.
The overall cover looks very Elle Spain. Looks like she's doing a robot walk.

Really amazed that Farrah actually approved this cover, given she was the same person who ran that viral Tess Holliday Cosmo cover and she's always talking about body politics.

Also very randomly, Daphne Groeneveld now has 2 UK Elle covers.

it’s a good Summer cover, very Sports Illustrated too! 80’s done well!

I always wondered what happened to her! she got that VP cover with Tom Ford, was in most fashion shows, did Dior make up, Miu Miu and I’m sure more and suddenly puff disappeared!

I feel Anne-Marie Curtis was the last editor to produce issues which captured the unique spirit of UK Elle, so by this point, the magazine doesn't have much to offer to me.

But there's usually one half-decent editorial in each issue, that's slightly above what you'd get in the fashion supplement of a newspaper, which most of the rest of the content resembles.
