Megan Fox has had a second wave of publicity so I guess she is making the most of it. It was never going to be renewed interest in her for her acting career or him for his music. So it is back to the sexual photoshoots and then she will complain again in a few years time that the media portrayal of her meant she was never taken serious as an actress.

He’s fully reinvented himself from a Rapper into a Punk Rocker, whether or not he is actually Punk is debatable but his transition is remarkable.

I’m also pretty sure that Megan Fox is using this new found publicity to fish for a new acting role(s).

Her choice to do "sexual photoshoots" was not what she's complained about in regards to her treatment but considering your post I'd say you probably didn't understand what the main issue was in the first place.

Megan Fox is relevant because she's Megan Fox, someone who was clearly having a media revival in recent years due to various things and took advantage of it, not because of some guy no one knew about outside his angsty teen girl fanbase. Them being together has definitely contributed to the increased coverage, sure, but the relationship is certainly not why she's "relevant again"...
