UK GQ Style F/W 2021.22 : Megan Fox & Machine Gun Kelly by Daniella Midenge

Is MGK that popular in the UK?

Is MGK popular anywhere? I mean he obviously is considering we all know the name, so perhaps his relevance is a bigger question. The only thing I know about him is that he's with Megan and I'm pretty sure he was in a movie I saw once. He doesn't leave much of an impression.

As for Megan, it's a yes. I stan. And this should've been shot by Steven Klein! If you're going for his aesthetic at least hire the man.

Others have been wondering the same :lol:

Funnily enough, don't know if you already saw this, but Megan did work with Klein recently too in this short film:

Thank you dear @Zorka !! :heart::heart:

There’s also a spread with the cast of “Veneno”, can you please post it? I’ll really really appreciate that. :)

Admittedly, Megan's shoot is skillfully executed. But is too much of a dated Steven Klein rip-off. And the True Romance concept is so overused (as is her Russ Myer styling here). I guess that’s the point??? …Since everything else in this issue seems to be a cosplay of the type of stories/casting/styling that was typical fodder in The Face, down to the raver Caser-cut and Keth Flint’s hair. Still, nice to see actual effort and professional skills adequately executed. “Highland Horror” and “Hedonism Home” are the strongest offerings.

Nothing against Megan and I hope she succeeds cuz she’s alway been harmless: She is beautiful and had she been associated with better films, I’d even say she reminds me a little of Monica Bellucci. Just that she made her name as the object of 13yo boys fantasy. And a decade later, these boys mostly have moved on, so I wonder if they’re still her targeted demographic. She seems to have had a bit of success with that B-movie where she was handcuffed to a dead man, beaten, bloody but still— maybe even more sexy LOL It’s all a tad too Revenge and been there done that… Now with this guy— it’s a tad too Pamela and Tommy ( and been there done that…). Pamela at least still had the advantage of the fashion world taking her in with her comeback back in the day, when raunchy sex was still in vogue. Nowadays, fashion seems to only embrace Black female rappers when it comes to raunchy sex, so Megan may be out of luck here. And this guy's going to hold her back cuz those 13yo boys that grew up with her still interested are not going to appreciate their fantasy being intruded by some 10th-rate “rapper” turned “punk rocker”. She’d be much better off solo and still living out their fantasies if they’re her demographic.
