Thanks for sight of the contents. While the work of Erik Madigan Heck and Agata P is a mainstay of the magazine, when you look back at issues from even a few years ago, the range of photographers was far wider - from Ellen von Unwerth and Norman Jean Roy to Thomas Schenk and Koto Bolofo - and that wasn’t including whoever shot any of those Carine Roitfeld editorial inserts.

The use of blue for the newsstand cover is perfect for a November issue, and I'm liking the slight change in direction. However, I couldn't go as far as to describe the outcome as... sexy. The colours of the subscribers cover are lovely (love the Fendi), but the newsstand is far better in comparison. Lately, subscribers are getting the short end of the stick with these alterative covers. There's nothing creative, visually stimulating or remotely collectable about them.
A total dud of an issue in terms of yet ANOTHER Erik Madigan Heck story. Fingers crossed Lydia Slater is wiling to branch out a little more for future issues, now she's officially the magazine's new editor.
