Possibly not the cover shot you imagined when you opened the thread... (tatler.co.uk)

That's crazy! For some reason I'm obsessed with this wedding, I don't even really agree with the monarchy. I'll definitely be having a read.
Really strange cover, I don't even know what to say about it.

I wish they coloured her lips red in the bottom right picture, then she would have looked like the Joker. I don't know why I even thought of that.

You're right. Definitely not what I'd expected. I guess that they're trying to prove that she's on her way to be an icon or something along the same lines.

Due to the fact that they featured her in an Andy Warhol-like pop art aspect on the cover and we all know that Warhol only does this sort of self-portrait for people who are considered iconic in today's culture or so he would if he were still alive today. :D

Does anyone else see Cheryl Cole?

I'm not a fan of the cover - defintely wasn't expecting this either. I'll still end up buying it though if only because it's labelled a collector's issue.

I would say it's really awful. Is Tatler even worth a mention anyway..

A larger version from Zinio:

Woah. Surely there must have been an actual cover star dropped in favour of putting through this 'special collector' issue'. Wonder who got the chop in Kate's favour.

Dang!!!! I was surprised when I saw this cover... I thought it was going to be this beautiful picture of her wearing some gorgeous British designer's gown. This is not what I expected. Its interesting to see that they are comparing her to one of Andy Warhol's iconic images.... who knows if she will be an icon or not (although I have a feeling that she will be... since she's already become world renowned and she's not even a princess yet!).

The smile being so big bothers me -- I can't believe no one on the Tatler staff was bothered by that one detail. Otherwise, with no interview -- not interested.

I think there's a Prince William version of the cover also. The ad for the issue that's in another magazine shoes the same style of pop art William portraits. I haven't received the copy yet here, but I've seen Kate's on new stands.
