UK Vogue July 2025 : Dua Lipa by David Sims

This is David Sims?....Vogue editors bring the worst....pretentious, meaningless and a lost opportunity....her Vogue france was not great but much better approach...

What on earth is this? I’m seriously perplexed at what I am looking at. For starters she is managing quite well how to destroy any brand identity to British Vogue, last issue was a return to Edward’s vogue and now we have this pop / interview magazine hybrid. The styling is atrocious, so unfortunate.

The editorial is not bad, the cover choise here is a risky one. Not a bad picture for an editorial (and maybe looks more Rolling Stone than a fashion magazine), but far from what looks more suitable Vogue. But as 2025, the creativity has no limits. Never knew she's a gym girl. I knew pop girls moves their bodies because they also dance for their life* while performing, but she looks so strong. Karlie Kloss VI cover by Steven Meisel or Lara Stone by Klein in 2016 are good examples of how to look that strong and Vogue at the same time.

*Pd: I also know she was bullied for her 'girl, give us nothign' dance moves.

Love the cover and pin-up inspired photo shoot. The styling by Nickerson isn't boring but pretty hot. The photography is really good by Sims. The back shot is my least favorite photo but that is ok. It's a must-have issue for me without even seeing the other contents inside.

Absolutely vile. What a seriously unflattering cover image! The styling from Camilla Nickerson is an abomination, the hair is horrific, and that headpiece is... stupid. To say I'm not a fan of this cover would be an understatement.
