UK Vogue June 2025 : Bella Hadid by Steven Meisel

She “Meisel’s” well, but the output is kinda off. It’s like she’s trying to figure out how to navigate certain new features that have been tweaked on her face.

Is this really all the photos? I kinda like the odd face shot, but there needs to be more of the editorial to make it work as a whole. Also an awful cover shot. Looks like she got indigestion mid shoot and had to roll with it.

It's a classic Meisel editorial, Bella may not be the best model but it's a nice shoot, I would have preferred there to be some color photos but it's still nice

When I look at it on a small screen like my phone, I don't see what's off about it....but when I see it on my bigger desktop screen, everything feels off...I can't put my finger on it...it's not awful....it just doesn't feel fully dialed in.

And it'll probably seem different again, when seen in print, depending on the paper quality and the glossiness of the cover.

I do love the cover. Yet I am more than able to admit that it does seem a little... off. My parents both said Bella looks dislocated, like her head is completely detached from her body/or some weird Photoshop is going on. The pose is not the most refined or flattering. There's room for improvement regarding the cover, without a doubt.

Well I won’t be too critical since it’s a huge improvement from anything Chimera has given us since she took over. But my god can’t anyone pick a decent cover anymore? I’m sure there were more outtakes. Again it will do for now…that’s all.

It wasn't in my card a Meisel return to the Vogues after Edward 's final issue. He worked almost as an exclusive lens for his edition. At the same time was the rumor of feud with Anna Wintour, and Vogue Italia became an average edition. I thought there wasn't a chance for a comeback to this magazine.

At first glance I thought this was "rejected" by Anna, but seems a legit collab between Steven and Chioma. I love this cover, I'm not gonna lie. Did my day to see this thread, unexpected after all these months. And Bella, among all the "nepo" girls, is the one can pull a real fashion model. Everything is working. Second time paired with Kamara, right? I'm thrilled to see what these two can do.
