Ulla Johnson F/W 2022.23 New York

I absolutely adore this collection. It's so effortless and full of charm yet it doesn't look too obvious, there's a lot of attitude actually. I hope Ulla (alongside Stella McCartney) will snatch some part of the Chloe's clientele because she deserves recognition. It's truly a highlight of this NYFW.

Another hit of a Ulla Johnson collection! She's become a total asset to the NYFW calendar and I just love Johnson's use of colour and prints. The styling never overpowers the garments and Johnson nails boho-chic.

Perhaps one too many puff sleeves for my liking, but it does work in a way because they accentuate the gorgeous textures in some of the fabrics. Some are reminiscent to Prada S/S 2009, which I'm not complaining about because that was also a textile feast for the eyes. Fabulous sweaters in this collection too, especially in look 27 with the matching skirt.

Sorry for going off topic, but is your username a reference to AbFab? The blonde woman's full name was Eurydice Colette Clytemnestra Dido Bathsheba Rabelais Patricia Cocteau Stone.

It most certainly is! And like Patsy Stone, I too believe that you can never have enough hats, gloves and shoes.

I've been a long time lurker of these forums but many of my friends and colleagues are say, sensitive to my views on the current state of fashion... So I bit the bullet and joined.

Beautiful collection. I would like to see her take some risk and challenge herself.

I agree with others that this is a highlight for NYFW and reminds me of what it used to be.

Every season I await her work, and I kind of know what to expect. Perhaps that’s not necessarily a good thing, yet there’s always plenty to swoon over. #27 and the closing look make my heart sing.
