So beautiful!
It's very sad to see the same magazine 20 years later. Yes, fashion has changed and you can't have the same expectations as 5, 10 or 20 years ago but today, Bazaar is only about the celebrity in the cover.

20 years ago, they had also major photographers, models, make-up artist or even Hair team. It was about using the best ressources to create something beautiful.
Even something as boring as model in front of a white background looks amazing.

Bazaar today scream "budget restrictions".

Don't get me started on the sad sorry state of magazines today!!!
High fashion magazines have lost sight of their individuality & subsequently their demographic are left nothing.
The creativity & art direction is also diminished - not to mention how plain & forgettable the models are. No wonder one by one print magazines are going out of business. Fashion magazines need to go back to the basics!

Such a jampacked issue. I've rarely been interested in Bazaar for about 10 years but am really into 90's issues. Simply classic and indeed uncomparable to the Bazaar nowaday.
In Hugh and Hurley ed the gorilla steals the show  So cute, esp. in the last pic.
Thanks for sharing gems, kelles.

^^^ That’s a chimp. A gorilla on Hurley's shoulders would break her back LOL

Thanks for bringing this issue up belles. Liz’s Bazaar really shaped my fashion and design outlook when I was a teen. I remember being completely spellbound by the "London Beat" edit; that brand of effortless, candid snapshots of moments— but still remembering its high fashion perspective and purpose with skilled, strong compositions and enticing subject matters. I took so much inspiration from the way the guys were dressed… And I loved the hearty, funky bravado of "Heavy G" with all the Helmut pieces.

So much love love love for Liz’s Bazaar— especially in the light of the current September issue...

Wow at all the big name photographers in this issue. It's a big credit to Liz and Fabien and their eye for upcoming talent.

They used to love these couple covers, seem to recall one with Cameron Diaz and Ben Stiller, I think. Love both cover and edit here.
And the sheer prestige of everyone on these pages is shocking. I imagine it must've been a coup for them even then.
