How awkward to have a "Your prettiest hair in 2 minutes" tagline on the cover when the cover subject has such a gross mess on her head. Also, why the depressing grey background à la US Vogue? Especially when you put Nicki Minaj on the cover? This all makes no sense.

I feel like the part of me that is addicted to bad taste is growing as I get older (wondering what it'll be in twenty years from now, if only I live long enough to know...) but I must say I truly like this, especially after seeing US Vogue with Michelle O. on its latest cover. This looks quite kitsch and slightly cheesy, she's not the most expressive or doesn't have that fluid body language many models have but, and I blatantly insist on that bloody but, it just looks good and I'm looking forward to seeing the story inside.

I don't like Nicki Minaj (as well as those other tacky girls like Rihanna, Katy Perry), but this cover is striking. The darkish background does the job. And I actually like her hair. Way way better than Michelle Obama's cover.
