Really love this cover. Strong colors, Rooney looks like herself, not dolled up and photoshopped into oblivion.

I'm curious when this is actually getting released, though, because their December issue just came out a week ago.

I'm loving this cover... It looks like one of their covers from the early 00s where they would have a slightly boho but sophisticated look to them. I remember some great ones with Erin Wasson, Kidman, and Blanchett.

WOWZA!! This is easily the best Rooney Mara cover I've seen, ever! Even better than Vogue, Dazed etc. What a way to start the year. Kudos to Elle. I cannot fault anything. Love the styling, love the photography with that sunlight coming through, and more importantly, love the art direction - it's so neat. Really hope this will be the newsstand version as well because I will cherish it. It looks to me like that pink shot will be for subscribers, and the gold one for newsstand. Thanks so much for starting this thread, Koko!!

It's quite a beautiful cover for Elle. However I wish her face would change a bit, she has the same expression on every photo. I also wish that the close up would have been chosen for the cover.
