Angelina looks amazing on the cover and I love that it is in black and white! The editorial is stunning as well, the shot of her sitting on the chair laughing is really beautiful.

I'm a little surprised too that it would be Elle, I guess I just assumed it would have been Vogue. It really is a very striking cover + ed though.

I really like Lais's ed too, the second shot in particular is gorgeous.

Might just be the first Elle US I buy in a very long time.

Typical Hedi portraits, but they work for once, shame the styling is YSL only, or it would elevate them a bit more. Lovely to see Angelina on an unexpected cover like this.

She is without a doubt a huge coup for US Elle! The fact she hasn't graced it in over a decade speaks for itself. I have heard celebrities like Jolie turning down Elle.etc but NEVER Vogue, they are in a different league. Just like with everything in life, there is a clear hierarchy in the publishing world, and Vogue sits ahead of everyone in power they posses.

Ask US Glamour how many times Jolie's people turned them down in the last 3 years, a lot, from what i heard.

This is such a big get for Elle. I really have enjoyed her latest covers and spreads where she's been ethereal and very other worldly but it's nice to see her being cool and effortlessly edgy again in print.

That wasn't my point, of course Vogue is ahead of other magazines, but Angelina had a Marie Claire cover in 2012, which is another proof almost anyone can get anyone (in the US of course).
