US Elle March 2016 : Brie Larson by Terry Tsiolis

I've not quite warmed to Brie, so this looks ok. She's much like Greta Gerwig to me, girls who seem to be making films, yet you hardly see them on magazines other than W. Probably this shot had to sell her to the general public, which is why it looks so generic.

Well that's about to change when she wins the Oscar in a couple weeks.

I don't like the cover though. It's not edgy enough to be edgy, yet they kind of tried to go in that direction so it's not a girl next door eithet.

Can anyone confirm if the paper size of the magazine has changed? I'd like to know the new dimensions.

Apart from the cover, i really like this issue, several decent eds, and the new art direction is actually well done, unlike at Vogue!

How wonderful! This cover feels like a breath of fresh air and is perfect for March. It's so refreshing to see someone different score the cover and makes for a welcomed change. Brie's cover story is great, some nice shots of her there, and I like the overall look. If I hadn't of read the credits to Brie's cover shoot, I would've sworn Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele styled! God knows why, though.

Elle has made good use of their new size (Bazaar upped their size too a few years ago but to continuing poor results.) The layout is nice and pleasing to my eye. Is the paper different? The magazine seems to fold differently... It feels nice in my hands. I look forward to future issues
