It's an all- over beautiful cover. I love how natural she looks with her unbleached hair. For a moment I thought she was Bella.

Nice to see Hans shooting an edit after so many David Bellemore knockoffs.

This is actually a great issue! It never looks like it based on what's been posted on here, but Elle US succeeds month after month with well written and insightful articles. The issue is put together really niclely, despite the flood of Maybelline and Tommy Hillfiger ads, all showing Gigi in her open mouthed glory.

The letter page this month features quite an interesting critique on a 'body-acceptance' article published in a previous issue (which I missed). Sidenote: Elle US hardly ever publish negative feedback, it's always fawning and short Tweets and FB posts But what surprised me most was the author's inarticulate response to the reader, basically glossing over the criticism dished out. So odd. Don't think I'd be inclined to read any of her future articles.

For me, US Elle was always the most interesting American title to read - but I must say, the new size really puts me off getting it. Because I read this magazine more than I look at the fashion, it seems especially pointless to make it wider, and I don't have the space to accommodate piles of these American magazines having an arms race to see who can publish the most unwieldy issues. Let's go bigger! Wider! SUPERSIZE! Stick it in a special box! With a free poster!
