Thanks for these kelles. Your scans are always perfect and you take the time and trouble to do them at all is wonderful.

What do you think of this era? It marks a different (later) style of photography from Gilles Bensimon. I don't care for these as much as I do his 1980s work. The models seem so much fresher, spirited, athletic and carefree during the 80s. Maybe he was just shooting according to the fashion desires of the age.

Yes Mai Iwano the "magic" is definitely depleted by the late 90s. Maybe the budget was gone because there is hardly any outdoor shoots @ Harbour Is or Iceland etc. Also the models just don't compare to Elle; Roberta; Stephanie; Yasmin or Ashley etc. They just do that lazy stare & don't emote. Although I do think that Alek Wek & Irina Pantaeva are amazing - anywhere! There has to be emotion - IMO. I call it workhorse fashion - "it will do - the job is done!"
Finally the 'child/woman' aesthetic had arrived & it is just a turn off sublimely - IMO. I do think Diana is very pretty but she is made to look like a girl!
As disappointing as this issue is - it is still far superior to today's issues!!!!?
