US GQ October 2023 : Chris Evans by Stevie Dance

I wonder if there are discussions about how much nipple they can show, when it comes to covers like these.

Given that magazines now reprint far and wide, is there a global approach to the male nipple? Or do different markets demand different things?

That's the worst picture I've ever seen of him. So bland and sterile.
Are the tats real? They look horrible.

The shoot is so odd, it's like two completely different sets of photos. Some are moody and dark but high-def, the others are washed out and grainy and look like they were shot in prison on a contraband flip phone.

If I'm correct, I think Chris Evans' team is also really adamant about him not appearing topless in photoshoots and movies generally, because he doesn't want to be known as a "beefcake".

Anyway, a very awkward cover for a good-looking guy.

At least he is selling sex appeal. This weird dinamic of American GQ pulling one month the hottest guys on Earth and the next issue is so anti. I still can't erase Pharrell wft cover from the last month.

They tried to sell him like some Netflix stars in their 20s, and they failed.

I was expecting much better when I read the title. what a disappointment.

I'm curious about the comments saying he looks horrible... that's how he's always looked to me, lol. I've always thought his looks were super overrated.

…Researched his… nips. He just has small ones, and with a thicker cotton fabric— and warmer studio, they likely just didn’t perk up:shrugs: (...Love love love the nips scene in Showgirls. Drop dead hilarity.)

This current era in censoring nips has got to be one of the most pointless gestures on social that's now infested mainstream media. Hilarious and pathetic.

Looks like a movie still where the main character woke up with a hangover in a shady motel.

I thought GQ MX&Latam was going to reprint this cover (they did it with Pharrell's! My poor money), but they put Gael Garcia Bernal in his place. Quite better than this but not huge fashionable production, though.
