US Harper's Bazaar March 2011 : Kim Kardashian by Terry Richardson

Bad cover, terrible editorial.... just a waste of space with her on the cover.

I wish Prince could come & kick her off the cover like he kicked her off the stage for not dancing Monday night.
 So true but Terry Richardson is actually a great photographer. He knows how to capture emotion in his photographs and gives photography a sense of realism. I feel that Kim Kardashian doesn't know how to show emotion or any range at all other than just being sexy. blah!:yuk:

She looks nice, she's pretty. I am never really shocked at US Harper's Bazaar covers, whatever inside is always more appealing.

it's only now you have lost faith in society? :o^_^ with the whole reality tv debacle my faith went a long time ago when the likes of her and co are given the go ahead to appear on tv/magazine covers and SELL more magazines than the people with ACTUAL TALENT you know society has gone to the gutters.
You're right, I lost faith in society years ago, but there's nothing with a little hyperbolic exaggeration, right? :D

This is patheitc not only did they choose Kim for the cover but also what a sheap looking edit. It looks like someone in their holloween costume.

Can we please start a fire Glenda thread? Where we can discuss possible solutions to this magazine and who we think should take over? Like the thread on which we discuss who should replace Wintour.

Horrible, I am so sick of this woman.

Front page on tFS today: Kim Kardashian Channels Elizabeth Taylor for Harper's Bazaar

Elizabeth Taylor and Kim K in the same sentance!?

Of course they are? They are a business after all. No-one's doing it solely for the fun and joy of fashion really.

There's a difference between wanting sales and being desperate for sales. Lady Gaga on the cover of Vogue isn't too far off since she is a musician and has her upcoming album to promote. But Kim is just famous for being famous, really. Add the fact that there is already an oversaturation of the whole Kardashian family in the media right now and it reeks of desperation. I guess I (and other forum members judging from most of the comments) expected better from Bazaar.

Why didn't they just grab some vintage unseen photos of Elizabeth Taylor and interview her from her home if this was going to be the theme? I'm 100% sure that would sell a load of copies. Terry Richardson just doesn't mesh well with Bazaar's appeal to me. The magazine use to be so regal and sophisticated compared to the other fashion magazines. What went wrong?!

I'm really tired of seeing Kim on my subscribed magazines. She's in the tabloids on a weekly basis so there's nothing more to learn about her. Her plastic face does not inspire me.

You know Vogue is next...it's happening. Kim SELLS, like crazy.

I don't like Kim Kardashian, and I understand that her face moves product, but why oh why did they have to do this for a MARCH issue?! Surely their March / September issues sell a lot anyway; so why couldn't they have moved her to April? :(

that editorial! i cant believe they are being 100 percent serious with that! truly i feel bad for complaining about some of their past celeb eds...i guess i had no idea how low they could go:lol:

The cover looks like a paparazzi shot...

The editorial is abysmal.

I think this is going to be the first issue I get as a subscriber; not a great way to convince me that switching from W was a good idea.

I think it's funny to compare this cover to Vogue's March cover with Lady Gaga which is obviously 100x better than this.
