Found this issue while organising my archive files and simply had to share it here. It's perfect! From stunning supermodels and hotshot photographers, to beautiful clothes you actually want to buy and wear.
I could stare at magnificent Nadja for days as she's striking her glamorous poses. As well as Peter's classic style that will never be replicated, Kate's prime days, Karen's pure glamour... So timeless. It's so sad when you compare this to the current Glenda orchestrated disease of a magazine.

I also found it surprising that no stylists were credited in any editorials. If anyone has the missing info, please share.

This cover is PERFECT, in fact Nadja is PERFECT... The best model in history, she has everything and more in her career, iconic moments on the catwalk (her moment at Mugler Haute Couture F/W 95), iconic covers (this thread speaks for itself), iconic campaigns (she has the best campaign in history Versace F/W 94/95), iconic editorials (the best editorial also 'In Memory of the late Mr and Mrs Comfort' by Avedon for The New Yorker), I dare say that not even Linda is able to compete!

By the way, I wanted to know what happened to her being on the cover of this issue and Vogue at the same time and what the reaction was like at the time.

^^^ I do remember the impact of such a cover on my impressionable teen eyes: It was beyond a magazine cover. It was an invitation to everything new, everything wild and everything magical seeing a life-size face demanding your attention with such surreal authority.

American Bazaar was the hot pretty young thing that showed us kids the wild side beyond fashion by the dynamic duo of Liz x Fabien, while American Vogue was the tired, safe and polite one that none of us cared for. And in terms of Nadja’s appearance on both covers, it epitomized night and day— which in retrospect, wasn’t necessarily awful for Vogue, just that it was seen as very… cool mom. And for a teen still learning so much, the allure, the thrill and the seduction of the night was all that mattered then. Especially when it looked so gorgeous.

(And in 2024, Bazaar stomps all over Vogue. At least international editions; not so sure about American Bazaar LOL ...Although American Bazaar's Emma in Miu Miu jockey's trying to look like Anne Hathaway in Les Misérable still looks more high fashion than American Vogue's Kendall looking like an outlet billboard...)
