US Harper's Bazaar September 2010 : Jennifer Aniston by Mark Seliger

oh its so damn hot to look at eniko in furs and pieces made out of wool when now its still 35 C where i live and im preparing to the shoot with coats, gloves, woolwork myself, and i can picture myself how hard it ll be if we wont have conditioner...
i have a question, isnt fashion became too fast? such warm stories in september are so uncommon for commercial american publication, and i must say, its everywhere. do fashion editors ever look out of the window? no, really? there is a question of weather and seasonality of fashion and not only of trends. thats okay to have a fur story in november in Europe and north america, for example, but not fall warm coats in july as usually does W just because collections are already available for shooting and (i must notice) not for selling in stores! (at least retailers are enouth adequate)
I think it's definitely getting too fast in other aspects but I don't know, I remember seeing fur stories in September issues since.. always, these issues are not about what you should be wearing now anyway, that's what the November/December/January issues are there for, the September ones are all about announcing what's coming up next and how it should be worn, fur just like boots, hats and gloves are still out of the question during September for most cities, I recall.. unless you live very far up north, of course.

Anyway, this issue is mediocre at best.. surprising as I found their September 2009 issue to be quite outstanding. There isn't a single editorial here that looks remotely relevant or attractive..

Yeah, It really isn't a good issue. I flipped through this on newstands and I'm not even sure if it's worth buying even for collecting.

What an incredible issue! I love every single editorial, especially Heidi's and Dree's. Both are stunning.

Love, love, love Iris' ed! Dree looks amazing in her ed (and I'm not even a fan of hers) and the shoes editorial is absolutely perfect. What a great issue content wise. Thank you so much for your scans, teacakes.

Teacakes posted this in Patricia's thread, but I don't know who shot it or what's the name of the editorial

It's an advertorial for South Coast Plaza, a shopping center in Southern California. I enjoy their choice of models; for example, last season they used Viktoriya Sasonkina. Surprising and refreshing.

I hate how almost every editorial is a studio shoot. Didn't the September 2009 and March 2010 issues have a number of editorials not shot in the studio?

love the couture report. the ed by lagerfeld is really nice too! not know about the shoe ed though

I'm not sure you can really call it a come back for her? She never went anywhere, and it's not even like she went 'quiet' for anytime.

Sorry I should of clarified what I meant by "comeback" - I didn't mean she went away, just more than likely that no one really regarded her movies of anything special, especially since her marriage ended (sorry to bring that up!). With the way shes playing up the pregnancy rumors in the new movie and how they are softening and personalizing her a little more because of it, to me, that is a slight comeback to relevance.

Picked up this issue yesterday. HB US doesn't disappoint...excellent issue (excluding the cover subject)!!!!

Sorry I just had to post my Scanned and edited ones. :)

Just these two cause the other's are fine. I just don't like seeing photos that aren't joined together.
