I'm not a fan of Camilla's photography but in this case it worked. I love Hilary Rhoda, she is such a stunner. The styling is quite good as well.

The eds by Akrans and Daniel Jackson (+ Alastair McKimm) seem like a nice way to compensate for the hideous cover.. and almost as a tradition now, infinitely better than US Vogue's issue for the same month. Glenda has nasty ways of presenting the magazine she commands to the world but when she curates fashion properly, like what this issue promises to be with the two editorials I've seen so far, you can tell she's still on top of her game.. at least when it comes to content.

Does anybody know how the sales of Bazaar have been since Glenda took over? I wonder why they keep her on, or does nobody else want to edit Harper's Bazaar? Isn't it like.. the lowest selling "major" fashion magazines in the US?

I think this magazine could be such a great counter-point to Vogue, but they're just squandering it.

I agree with HB's potential to be a Vogue counter-point. According to AdWeek HB was the only fashion mag in the first half of 2012 to stay flat - whereas most everyone else saw drops in sales.

I thought that was surprising. I feel like HB is sacrificing fans and subscribers for newsstand sales.

Does anyone know what the state of their fashion budget is like these days? The majority of HB's editorials have been minimal to say the least.
