Couldn't have picked a more tired and grating tagline if they tried.

Emily's cover is the best one imo.

Emily Ratajkowski, Aja Naomi King, Zoey Deutch, Janelle Monae, Alexandra Daddario

The first cover is perhaps the most hf image I've seen on US MC. Simple, yet so stunning. Also glad for Aja, but not a big fan of her pose and Janelle's hairstyle is too much.

In all fairness, Janelle and annoying Emily are not 'new' faces. Most of the public at large know them fairly well.

Emily Ratajkowski's cover is by far the better one out the bunch. It just has.. it! I love what she's wearing, the pose, the grey background and the baby pink masthead. A really nice May cover, if you ask me!

The tagline is cheap tbh. Talk is cheap. I'd rather see an empowering and powerful image rather than your normal cover shot coupled with a tagline on feminism.

Not to be rude, but how does Emily keep getting all these covers? What is she promoting??? I've not seen her 'acting' and I wouldn't say shes a serious model..

She's much like Chrissy Teigen, imo. More famous for starting pointless feuds and running her mouth on SM than doing actual work. Emily especially makes Kendall and Gigi look good. I'd lie if I say her cover is bad, indeed it's 2nd best imo, but how insulting to put her next to girls with actual careers.

I cant decide which are worse this month - those, or us elle:wacko:

Not bad if you consider this is Marie Claire. I can't find anything to hate about the Emily or Aja covers.

But what does the Future is Female even mean? Not to get political but a female couldn't even beat Trump in an election. Post election women's magazines should be asking more serious questions with not so easy answers. They needed to add a question mark at the end and emphasize the is. IS the future Female?!

There´s an accessories editorial called "Vision Quest" that it´s a blatant ripoff of Vogue Paris and their Bijoux feature :o

Janelle Monae and fresh faces? I love her, so glad to see her on the cover, but she has been around for around 10 years!

Positivity is perhaps the cornerstone of American culture, even in the most darkest days. Indeed, it should come as no surprise that the phrase 'chin up' was conceived by an American. Sometimes it's truly commendable, especially in this case. Vogue gave us a 'female positive' cover in March, HB just did a pop art edit in their current issue, Elle has been the most consistent with their feminist message and endeavours over the past few years. It's interesting to see them steam ahead despite the setback. So maybe what these magazines are trying to do is maintain that forward-looking momentum up until the point when Hilary lost.
