I'm about to say the exact same thing, this is such a cover of Ok..really terrible and such a major downgrade for VF. Seems like it's just a photo from an event and they're using it as the cover of magazine.

Also a great point. It honestly looks like a photo from an event but obviously not a very flattering photograph. Also, I'm wondering why they didn't have them sit down for another photograph? Or is Vanity Fair just capitalizing on the rights to these images and not even getting an okay from the couple to put them on this months cover?

Their US Road Trip: plus honeymooning, house-hunting, and who takes out the garbage?

are they trying to be US Weekly or OK? is the headlines was taken from a gossip magazine? this is not what I'm expected from VF

Woah, how bad is this!! Looks like they tried hard to squeeze them in the cover, and its way to close, unflattering, and like others mentioned, way to cheap looking. And Katie Nicholl? Seriously? Leave that fraud at Daily Mail where writing about celebs handbags is what she is best at!

I was expecting something better, subtler and more coffee-table friendly. This looks so happy in a "Kate please smile for the paparazzi" way. It`s like a celebrity gossip magazine with a shocking expose on the couple.

Interesting how completely hit or mostly miss Testino's photography is. He should not be the go to guy for a slamdunk pic of anyone (celeb or model) at this point. I remember when i used to get excited for new work from him. Now its more of a fingers crossed, did he get the image right game. This is a ridiculously bad cover. Pretty shocking how horrible it is in fact. Vogue and Vanity Fair should move on. His work has not evolved it has just gotten progressively worse. He has been coasting on his name for years now.
