Imagine Kristen getting a US Vogue cover today... the edit didn't seem ahead of its time 'at the time', it seemed right. I still have this issue, and the VI she did in January the same year... she always got the occasional VI cover but 1995 was a moment when the more commercial side of fashion suddenly said she was totally acceptable.

LOL posted in 2008— which in retrospect, is still a golden period in fashiondom. Little did we all know just how dire and barren 12 years later would become in this realm.

(Not keen on the covershot as it’s Kristen giving her catalogue face, but the coverstory with her looking like Lisa Marie in Tim's Sleepy Hollow and Glen’s story with Kate was when Anna’s Vogue still believed in higher fashion.)
