Does Posnick have an edit in this issue?
Can't give you Karma but I agree with you so so much!
Just because something's different or new doesn't mean it's an improvement on what went before. That's how I interpret the opinions.
I just saw the image for Priyanka Chopra story and honestly she should have gotten the cover. The image is breatakingly beautiful.
^agree! The woman is simply stunning.
And she’s dating Nick Jonas, Saoirse better be dating Brad Pitt to have gotten the cover over Priyanka. Nobody cares about her Oscar noms.
Totally! Screw the accomplishments, it's all about who the actress is dating!
Dating a man, and Nick Jonas of all people, should never, ever make you worthy of being on the cover of Vogue. Granted we did see Amal earlier this year, but that sort of thing is really a step backwards.
Why not celebrate a successful young woman instead who's claim to fame is her film career, not who she's sleeping with??
Phyllis is the sittings editor for an article about an artist, Toyin Ojih Odutola, photographed by Alec Soth. There is only one pic in the article though.
what does it mean sittings editor? What they do?
It's a term used to describe fashion editors, very popular between the 40s-80s era. We still use it formally in the UK sometimes. In the old days a fashion shoot used to be referred to as a 'sitting.' Also, these type of editors would often build a story around the looks and conceptualise the shoot from start to end, making sure that the finest detail (from cast to setting and props) contributed to her storyline. Polly Mellen, for instance, is one of the most renowned sitting editors.

Why do they give Gigi anything other than beach stories? That’s the only thing she’s good at.
Those last few spreads make Teller look like Avedon. So cheap!
Seems like someone's had Meisel's Grey gardens with Valletta pinned to their moodboard for Gigi's story... but it seems to have went wrong.
And as cheap as the spread looks, I can still picture someone like Sasha P. Pulling it off.
Imao. What a horrible issue. Felt more like January, but even those are more interesting. Possibly the worst issue i have seen them do under Wintours reign, and she had quite some doozies!!
I bought the issue yesterday and is the first one of the year that I'm excited to read.
Agree on everything MON (also this happens in other threads too) but with all these new artists collaboration for US Vogue on the first time,it will take time to shape the direction they seem to take it....honestly if they want to do indie style, it will always will be indie commercial and nothing wrong with that....so like other member said, new it doesn't mean better, that's right but trying it's the only way to do something different, so stop putting this (and others) magazine into a strict box.
