US Vogue March 2021 : Gigi Hadid by Ethan James Green

I cannot see any of the images (I'm assuming there are images judging by everyone's comments) that Benn98 posted. Is that just me? Am I missing out on something?

This was posted, @Benn98 it didn’t make the cut? I like the picture

The content look a little better on Vogue’s website because they’re videos showing the models in motion. The picture of Kendall looks awkward since its taken from a video. They didn’t think too much of how those videos will look as still images

Gemma Ward and Caroline Trentini casually giving us old-school American Vogue vibes, while those images (and the accompanying video) of Kendall Jenner are an absolute embarrassment and an instant reminder of the current hideous state of Vogue.

^ You said it all really.

Some of the images in this issue are decent, even good, but my God it's all so pandering and trying to satisfy every single possible, conceivable audience member (in ever single nation on the planet it would seem??).

I know American print (well Condé at least) is dead in the water and has been for such a long time now, but when you look back at your old issues and compare them with now...it's just such an unsettling contrast. Even though they were less diverse and I always wanted more, at least in terms of faces in the magazine Anna was never that bad at giving us all a bit of inclusivity alongside beautiful photography and storylines (sometimes).

I actually love this. Creativity through the lens of several photographers in several locations.

Caroline's shot is quintessential Vogue. Meanwhile, Gemma's shots are beyond beautiful! She should've gotten the cover and a full spread. Gorgeous!

Forces of Nature is pretty decent!

Aww, no! LOL. I like Max Ortega's work, in fact next to Jorden Bickham's it actually looks masterful.
He styled not only the Mexico shots but also some of the Paris and LA ones, plus that Vogue China cover under Anna. Looks like he's on his way to the US Vogue masthead and I'd only be too happy. It's the type of basic styling this magazine needs.

I don't hate the main editorial, many of the shots are stunning and as Aracic said had they been full edits it would have been even better. As with last month I think it's great that a lot of underrated photographers are getting shine.

The best ones for me are the shots in China (so now that Anna is in China she's all about that country, lol), Mexico, Australia, Senegal and Karen Elson in New York. All the London and Paris shots are terrible, and nothing from Italy and Japan, fashion's go-to countries for editorials?

US Vogue is officially no longer US Vogue. It looks like a glorified version of Dazed down to this very multi-photographer concept which is actually a cost-cutting measure because they can't have paid these photographers much for single/double shots. None of what I'm seeing is grossly awful but it's simply not Vogue.

i think his work is not remarkable to me, of course i recognize some good work he has done but sometimes it’s just or a pretty picture or a full of pretensious one. Well this happens with lots of people actually....i hope to see his career evolving in a good way.

yes, Vogue is not Vogue anymore just a magazine trying to please everyone. Karen Elson’s, Ale Wek and Gemma’s shots are the best by far, the group shot i posted is nice too...would be nice that they conceptualize better this kind of portfolio

LOL @Anna’s Vogue still desperately trying to convince the masses its a presentation of some socialist utopia LOL Her Vogue no longer resembles Vogue in tradition and practice, rather it’s now the local desktop publisher— just with some famous faces and expansive duds: Despite the so-called “creative” vision of a phalanx of photographers, they all end up completely interchangeable with not a whiff of individuality, and with the skills/creative stretch that Scott Schuman circa 2007 would run circles around. Pathetic.

This ridiculous facade of a nicer, kinder and gentler Vogue (and apparently Anna) seems to have suckered some of their advertisers, with Saks’ spread giving the limelight to the most basic and hilariously cheap-looking tank dress by representation posterboy Christopher John Rogers, that wouldn’t be at all out of place hanging at the swimwear section of Walmart: You know, as worn by “People of Walmart”. As if that farce isn’t enough, Indira Scott is credited as a “humanitarian”— not a mere model, thank you very much LOOOL

The only resemblance to high fashion-- and the most sincere compassion expressed in this issue is Hamish’s tribute to Stella. What an era she reigned in.

Anna needs to sell, no matter what she puts there :'( She won't change.
