OMG Look upon the phalanx of immortals that was always larger than life— and in Alaia shot by then-brilliant Mondino-. So so so much high fashion :sigh: Sounds so overdramatic, but this genuinely makes me weak at the knees and my spirit soar: I melt every time I see Yasmeen. This is the sort of gorgeous escapism that’s needed in these less than inspired days when it was the standard back then. And Helmut’s shoot with Cindy is unadulterated, unapologetic, unleashed femininity and the stuff of the wildest fashion dreams. I weep at how timid, meek and conservative and utterly lost the art of fashion photography is littering American Vogue now.
